Who should download this?

  • Non-Integrated Video Visits (Zoom-to-Zoom)

    • Download Required for Sentara-employed providers using a Non-Sentara Deployed Computer or Laptop (BYOD device)
    • Download Required for Contract/Non-Employee providers doing telehealth on their personal or employer device.
    • Download NOT Required for Hospital and HOD customers using Sentara Deployed computers and laptops. We push it through our standard Prism Package.
  • Epic Integrated Video Visits (Outpatient Ambulatory)

    • No download required. Zoom installs upon first launch of Epic Hyperspace, “Begin Video Visit.”

Install Instructions(Windows Only)

***Note if you are using a mac, iOS or Android device please follow the link to the right for platform specific instructions
During the install you will need to enter the company name as Sentara shown in step 3 of the signin instructions belkow
1. Download the zoom.zip install file. Click Here To Download
2. Right click the zoom.zip file and click extract all
3. Click the Extract button
*Note: Be sure the "Show extracted files when complete" box is checked
4. Double click the zoominstall-sso.bat file

Signin Instructions

1. After launching zoom click the SignIn button
2. Click the SSO button
3. Be sure that Sentara is entered as the company domain then click Continue
4. Enter your Sentara Active Directory user name and password includ domain then click Sign In
5. Send me a push, Call Me or Enter a Passcode
If you select Send me a push you will be prompted by the DUO app on your phone to approve the Signin Request
if you select Call Me you will receive a phone call on your cell phone allowing you to accept the Sign In Request
If you select Passcode you will be texted a passcode that you may enter to approve the Signin request

Starting a meeting

1. Click the Start Meeting button
2. Click GotIt to allow zoom to access your camera, speaker and microphone.
3. Click Deny to Deny zoom to record audio
4. Click Deny to Deny zoom to take pictures and record video
5. Click Deny to Deny zoom to record audio
6. Once in the meeting you will see Participants(1) at the top of the screen. To invite your patient click the "Invite" button at the e bottom
7. Your phone will ask what method you would like to invite your patient to the meeting room.
Please select your Sentara email client *This will vary based on device type)

8. Enter the patients email address and click send
9. When you are ready to end your encounter click the red End button at the top right
10. Click the Leave button.
